The Gateway Server is designed to transform data streams from one network to another. This server is a data gateway for the OnPremise Server and local services. It acts as a ‘gate’ between two networks and allows access from a SQL-server from outside, to send print jobs to a local printer and so on. The gateway defines what is internal and what is external, and that communication gets from one network to another.
